Just in case you forgot, back in April, J. Cole announced the launch of a brand new festival, Dreamville Festival. Last night, he took to social media to call it quits on the festival that was suppose take over Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, North Carolina this upcoming weekend. According to a statement, due to weather conditions, the festival would be an unsafe environment for fans and festival goers.
The festival lineup featured massive artists such as J. Cole, SZA, Big Sean, Young Thug, Rich the Kid, Nelly, Teyana Taylor, Rapsody, Davido, and more. A new date for the Dreamville Festival is in the works but for the time being refunds for tickets should be issued shortly. Hurricane Florence has been making its way towards the East Coast and mandatory evacuations have been made towards North and South Carolina as well as some parts of Virginia. Check out the full statement for the festival cancellation below, and stay posted right here for any updates.
Mannn. Due to this Hurricane heading to NC, we have to cancel Dreamville Festival. We’re working to get another date, but right now safety is most important. I appreciate everybody that was headed to rock with us. 30,000 + were expected. 🤯🤯
All tickets will be refunded. Bsafe
