The Crystal Method Releases New Single “Holy Arp” From Upcoming Album ‘The Trip Home’

Just in case you weren’t aware, ever since forming in 1993, the dynamic duo known as The Crystal Method is responsible for five studio albums, four compilation albums, three soundtrack albums, one EP, and countless singles and music videos. The last time we received a new album from them was back in 2014 with their self titled album. Now last year, Ken Jordan retired from music and left the group, while Scott Kirkland continued The Crystal Method as a solo moniker.

Earlier this month, The Crystal Method announced his upcoming album and tour ‘The Trip Home.’ Today, we get a taste of his upcoming project through his new single “Holy Arp.” The new single is a foot-stomping break beat anthem, laced with organic keys and a pumping harmonica line. So stream the new tune, read what Kirkland had to say about the release and the album, and grab the download below.

As soon as I got that track going, I knew I had found the direction for the new album. It reverberates with the sound of Crystal Method classics like ‘Name of the Game’ and has some of the gnarliness of ‘Vapor Trail.’ It’s an angry, ballsy, bombastic trip down the inner workings of the vintage ARP 2600 synth.
