Steve Aoki does not limit himself when it comes to working with a variety of artists in the music industry. Recently, he has teased upcoming collabs with Nicky Romero, W&W, Nicky Jam and much more. And now, fans can expect Aoki’s upcoming album ‘Neon Future III‘ to feature collaborations with hip-hop superstar Nicki Minaj as well as alternative-rock legends blink-182.
At 2018’s Tomorrowland, Aoki revealed his forthcoming collaborations with these artists in a interview with Anna Lunoe on Beats1 Radio. Apparently, Twitter was a huge resource for Aoki when he reached out to Nicki Minaj. Although there is no release date set for his upcoming album, we can expect to hear lots of magic. So read what Steve had to say about the Nicki collab, peep a snippet of the interview below, and check out the full interview HERE.
Twitter is still used in that way. I’ve talked to a lot of rappers. I tried to reach Nicki Minaj, and I was like, ‘I can’t get through.’ I tweeted at her, and then she followed me, and then I DM’d her, like, ‘I’ve been trying to send you this record.’ And she got it, and she’s like, ‘I love this.’
