Kyrie Irving Reportedly Asked To Be Traded From Cavs

Looks like Cleveland sports still can’t catch a break despite their Cavaliers being back-to-back-to-back Eastern Division Champions. According to an ESPN report by Brian Windhorst, Kyrie Irving asked to be traded during a meeting with himself, his agent Jeff Wechsler, and Cavs owner Dan Gilbert last week. According to Wechsler:

“Kyrie and I had a meeting with Cavs leadership where we discussed many different scenarios in reference to Kyrie and his future with the team. The basis of those discussions and what went on in those discussions are between the Cavs and us. We are respectfully going to keep those private.”

According to sources, LeBron James is “blindsided and disappointed” by Kyrie’s request to be traded off the back-to-back-to-back Eastern Division Champions.

Sources tell Brian Windhorst that Kyrie Irving has requested a trade out of Cleveland to find a bigger role.
